I learned about cohousing while researching small homes in 2008 and immediately liked the idea, with its social and cooperative aspects. I just didn't know of any communities near where I lived in New York. Over a year passed, and I spotted a poster for Belfast Cohousing while visiting family in Maine. One thing led to another, and I moved into my new home in the Ecovillage in June 2012. As you might guess from my photo, I love the outdoors! I've been hiking and biking since I arrived, and look forward to exploring the area (by foot, bike, skis, canoe, and kayak) with my new neighbors.
