This stunning aerial view of the Belfast region illustrates beautifully our cohousing community's ideal placement, just beyond the edge of Belfast's developed areas.
The parallelogram surrounding our cohousing community (Neighborhood Site) represents the boundaries of the larger parcel which surrounds us. We'll work to preserve this 150 acres of farmland and open space through conservation and agricultural easements, retaining this valuable resource for generations to come.
It's a mere two miles to the harbor, and the community institutions identified in the photo are nearer still. Not labeled here are the Belfast Municipal Airport (visible just right of center) and the Waldo County General Hospital, located four blocks from the harbor on Northport Avenue.
